CallaMae knows what it means to be loved on! There are many hands in this house who often want to hold her. We love her so! |

Still sleeping...
CallaMae Elise, it is 8:40 on a Sunday morning. You are 11 days old and last night you slept through the night. You last ate at 11:45 pm (Saturday night). I know this won't be a consistent thing sweet girl but I always like to document the first time this happens. I woke several times to make sure you were okay and your brother joined your dad and I in bed at some point due to a bad dream so I didn't sleep so well but it's good not to get used to that :). We love you so much CallaMae! I can't wait for you to wake up. I'm ready to cuddle with you.

Preschool
I've talked quite a bit about our "preschool." All involved really enjoy it. Here are a few activities we did this past Tuesday.
The kiddos had to pick out the orange sticks and place them in the orange cup. We then identified the colors of the sticks not placed in the cup.
We made bird feeders out of paper towel rolls and peanut butter. We thought since we would be getting treats for Halloween, we would make a special treat for the birds. Bennett and Annabelle wanted to make one too.
We made orange circles with toilet paper tubes and orange paint then added green stems with fingerprints.
We placed pumpkin stickers on top of the orange dots to "hide" the dots. Then we touch counted the pumpkins.
We also read pumpkin books, counted pumpkin cut outs forward and backward from 1 to 10, identified and sang the spelling of our names....etc. Fun FUN!

Halloween 2012
The bottom picture is of Annabelle with her friends at the Colon Elementary School Monster Mash. She had a blast. Bennett cut out early as riding Mark and Carol's horse sounded like a lot more fun :).
Homecoming
Darrin is the Sophomore class sponsor. This is the float that his class made. The theme was phobias. They earned a second place.
Like Father Like Son
The boy loves science. Bennett's library book choices are usually non fiction, having to do with animals. And his science assignments are pretty well thought out. Love that about my boy!
September Student of the Month
That's our Annabelle! Annabelle was chosen as the lower elementary student of the month based on her character. It's what we desire most as parents, to have kind, caring, and responsible children. We are so proud of her!

Eliza being Eliza
Just some things I'm listening to Eliza say (as I type this) as she is trying to fall asleep...
I like my toe nails
Mommy's here...Booya! (over and over)
I want my stroller.
Mommy, where are you?
Mommy no! No ripping that paper. (she hears me rustling with greeting cards)
I'm gonna go downstairs.
Please! Please! Mommmmyyyyyy...
Annabelle Elizabeth
No Mommy. Get this off of me. (I'm assuming she's talking about her pajamas. She tries to take her pajamas off when she's doing anything she can to stay awake.)
That is my foot.
Anyway. I'm about ready to sign off but I started typing these up after listening to her for about 10 minutes. Wish I could remember all the things she was saying prior to me pulling up my blog but they are so random and she moves from one thing to the next so quickly it's hard to remember.

Just some ramblings...
Just some this and that...
I'm coming up on 35 weeks pregnant with baby #4 (a girl). Still feeling great. We can't wait to meet her. We have her named picked and Darrin who is often wishy washy about name choosing right up until the end said the other day "yes, that is a really good name for her." Perfect.
Darrin's birthday is this coming Saturday. I asked him what he wanted to do. He decided on going out for dinner to Pizza Hut as a family. I can handle that.
It's homecoming this week at Colon. The kids and I just got home from the Powder Puff game and as I type this Darrin is walking in the door. He had to stay for the bon fire that followed the game. The homecoming football game is Friday which the kids and I plan to attend (unless the weather is really ugly). Darrin sits in the booth on the headphones.
Our preschool group started up last week. This month and next months theme is anything fall related. We have table time, snack, centers, playtime, clean-up and lunch. It's great for the moms and kids. It's a good feeling to know Eliza is having fun learning and being social with friends.
I'm steadily working on Christmas shopping and hope to be done soon...before baby arrives is my goal. This year Annabelle seems to be the easiest for me to shop for.
Bennett has been asking for several weeks now to be a ninja for Halloween. I kept saying "we'll see." I dislike spending money on Halloween. I was planning on looking for things around the house to turn him into a ninja but today at the Amish store I found a costume that originally sold for 15.00 at CVS for a whopping 2.50. It's pretty cheesy but he is happy about it.
The kids' school year is going well so far. We just love their teachers. Both have been teaching for over 30 years. They absolutely know what they are doing and how to handle the ages they work with and both still update things based on the changing times. Couldn't be happier.
Guess that's it for now. But I'll leave you with a picture of our sweet girl that was taken in early August. Those 4D ultra sounds are quite amazing!

Just a few randoms
These pictures are several that were taken the last few, magnificent weeks of summer. We attended our first White Caps game, celebrated Eliza's second birthday by taking her out for ice cream (despite the fact she wasn't feeling too well), had picnics and fun with friends, and took a trip to Belaire, MI where we swam in lake Michigan, visited a nature center and enjoyed the street carnival in town (among other things.) It was a wonderful summer!

FDOS!!
I must catch up on this blog of mine...the only real scrapbook I keep. That will require a little backtracking which will also require more time than my sleepy body will allow but I wanted to share a few pictures from today...THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!
Yes, three backpacks were needed. Eliza will be left out of NOTHING!
