Happy Father's Day

to the most loving, patient, positive, upbeat, and hands-on dad around!
We love you Darrin/Dad!!

Here I am at 34 weeks pregnant with baby number 3. We are having fun in the mirrors at a store where Darrin bought a new pair of shoes using money he won from a 50/50 raffle at a golf outing yesterday.
It has been a pretty great day! When the kids woke up they gave Darrin a special Father's Day book they made, then we got ready for church. After church we headed to the shoe store where Darrin bought himself a Father's Day present, then enjoyed a deli lunch. The kids and Darrin are now resting.
Happy Father's Day also to my dad and dad in law today! We hope you are enjoying your day as well!

My stomach measured 30 centimeters.

I go again on July 1st and after that will be having appointments every week. I will post a picture of myself soon...if I'm brave enough :)!

Ballerina Babe

Annabelle had her first dance recital at the Sturges Young Auditorium in Sturgis on Saturday. She made us proud! She made our job easy because we didn't have to talk her through any stage fright. Her group consisted of 5 little 3 and 4 year old girls. It was a lot of fun (f0r her and for us).

We weren't able to photograph or record on the night of the recital but were able to do so during the rehearsal. We did get the rehearsal on tape but are having compatibility issues with the new computer and our camcorder so we weren't able to get it to the computer. We have to get a new part and once we do, we will also post the video.

Annabelle made her brother proud!

Annabelle chose where we ate after the recital. McDonald's it was.

Waiting patiently with Dad for her turn to go up on stage.

Waiting in line to enter the auditorium.

Rehearsal Night

Like Father Like Son

Under our constant supervision, Bennett has mowed the "kids yard" the last couple times the lawn has needed a cut. Darrin (and Bennett) mulched it with the mower one day and the next day wanted to do it again to mulch it a bit more. Darrin wanted to do it himself this time. Here is a conversation that occured between the two of them.

D: I have to mow the lawn today.
B: I'll mow our yard.
D: No Bud. I'm going to do it today.
B: Why Dad? Did I not do a good enough job? Is it because I zig zag too much?
D: No Buddy! You do a great job!! I just want to see if I can do it as good as you do!

Here's Bennett, so proud of the radishes he grew in our garden.

Annabelle On the Go

Now for the hardest part...learning to start and stop on her own. She'll practice that tomorrow.

And in case you're wondering, Bennett wanted to tell me his thumb tasted like play dough :).

32 weeks

baby's heart rate 141
my abdomen measures 30 centimeters
my blood pressure 100 over 68
next appt. June 17

Bennett and Annabelle think that if this baby is a boy his name will be Alex. And if it's a girl her name goes back and forth between Lisa and Emma. I hope they're not too disappointed when we don't use any of those choices. Also, the other night Bennett thought Rhino Baby was a good name for the baby but we told him that would make a better nickname. We might refer to Baby as that until he/she has an official name.
