It's all about experiences!

Our library had a program called "Drummity" one Thursday evening in July while the kids were at VBS. I was interested so I went on my own to see what it was all about. It was so cool and I was so bummed the kids missed it so I asked her if she'd be anywhere nearby in the next couple of days. The following Saturday she was going to be in a town nearby (even smaller than Colon). It was a different experience on Saturday because there weren't as many people but it was more laid back for the little ones. This lady had a variety of percussion instruments and does a program with them that is hard to explain. It's was a really cool hands on experience that introduced them to some basics of music and percussion instruments. FUN FUN!!

We are so thankful to have so many people in our childrens' lives who give them the opportunity to experience such neat things. Recently our neighbors took our kids tubing behind a boat. They definitely want to go again and actually hollered at them the other day when they saw them outside, "can we go tubing?!?!"

Big Fish

We've done a lot of fishing across the street this summer. Here are two recent catches that the kiddos were proud of.

Our Eliza...1 Year old!

The above picture was taken on your actual birthday.

I think you have your mother's love for homemade cream cheese frosting.

I think you were looking for more.

Red Velvet Cupcakes were your birthday dessert.

You are 18 pounds and 28 and 1/2 inches long. Your head is 17 and 3/4 inches.
You are crawling and don't show much interest in walking.
One of your favorite toys is a lion on a stick that a walking child would push around. You crawl around with it often and even drag it up the stairs with you.
You are good at using different sounds and try to copy words. You consistently say the following words: cat, dog, duck, nose, dad, uh-oh, and you can "quack," and we have just taught you the sign for "more".
You: point at things when you're interested in them, hold up your index finger when asked how old you are, point at my nose when asked where my nose is, hold up your arms when asked how big you are, give high fives, and love to clap for yourself.
You are a ham and realize when people are laughing at you and continue to do what made them laugh.
You put your hand over your face when you think you're funny.
You like to eat. I'd say right now, your favorite is a banana. You like it whole so you can hold it and take bites. You also like pudding.
You are usually tolerant when your brother and sister carry you around. You love them dearly and the feeling is mutual!!!
You really enjoy swimming in the lake and taking baths.
You don't like having your diaper changed.
You think it's funny to be chased up the stairs.
When you're fussy in the car we turn on the "Snooze" CD by the group Go Fish and you quiet right down.
You sleep from between 7:00 and 8:00 to between 7:00 and 8:00.
You take two shorter naps or one long nap a day depending on our schedule. You are a flexible baby and can really pull through without a nap if need be.
Your nicknames are Lidey, and Lida Beans.
You give great hugs and kisses!
It's been a great year Baby!! You were meant for our family and we cherish you!!!
