Yogi Bear 2011

Here is a run down (in no particular order) of the MANY things we did while at Yogi Bear this year...

Craft time
Treasure hunt
Swimming, swimming, swimming
ice cream cone eating
pictures with Yogi
pick up kickball game
eating all meals outdoors
roasting marshmallows and telling ghost stories by the campfire
fishing, fishing, fishing
WATER SLIDES (something new this year)
playing at the playground
golf cart riding
Yogi train ride
Kiddie water park

Beautiful Mess

Oh how I love these three... despite them being uncooperative for a nice siblings picture and despite the cold, sticky mess that covered their faces and clothing. What a fun memory...Eliza's first ice cream CONE!

getting caught up

Okay...
Eliza...
has been getting teeth! The top two are through and the bottoms are just starting to poke through. She had her 9 month check on Tuesday and is healthy :). She's sweet, loves her siblings, pulls up to her knees and once in a while to her feet, loves to eat and likes most anything, and has her daddy wrapped around her little finger (well, I guess she's managed to wrap all of us around her finger.)

Annabelle...
had her dance recital and did awesome! We're changing things up a bit as she has chosen to take tap in the fall instead of ballet. She loves the garage sale "school clothes" I've been getting for her. A pair of Osh Kosh shoes that I got for 5.00 (thanks to hip2save) arrived today. She's excited to wear them to preschool in the fall. I sure am going to miss having her around all day! She's been loving this warm weather as she loves being in a bathing suit enjoying any kind of water (pool, sprinkler, hose...). She has also learned to bait a hook.

Bennett...
went on his first school field trip and it was my great pleasure to chaperon. It was at the Kalamazoo Nature Center which was right up his alley. I thought he'd seem different in a different setting but nope, I see the same kid at home as his teacher sees at school. He is a wearer of gym shorts and t-shirts, is obsessed with fishing, and is forever questioning things or telling us about something. He acts old when he's around kids his age which acts as a reminder that he is going to KINDERGARTEN in the fall :(. When did that happen?!

Things we're looking forward to this summer...
fishing
camping at Yogi Bear
the library summer program
lunches at the elementary school
4th of July
visits to the bird sanctuary (I purchased a membership from groupon...we love that place!)
Eliza's birthday (welll, I'm only halfway looking forward to that...my babies are getting too big too quick.)
the 5 K during Magic Week that some friends and I plan to run (or maybe walk).
and so many more things! I must go to bed now. Good night!
