Our baby boy, Bennett Darrin was born Wednesday, November 30th, 2005 at 1:09 pm at Sturgis Hospital. This coming Sunday he will be three. We can hardly believe it! I wanted to post a few pics for his birthday and am doing it today due to the busy holiday weekend and the fact that we will be out of town for much of it. Here are a few (okay...maybe more than a few :) pictures of him as a baby and a few as our big three year old. We are so proud of the boy he's become!

Today's quotes
Annabelle with backpack on and blue bucket in hand: "Bye bye Mommy. Bye bye Daddy.
Us: "Where are you going?"
Annie: "To Macey's house."
Bennett with a big blue box on his head: "I'm an astronaut. I'm going to the moon in my rocket."
I've been having fun listening to Bennett's new 'big' vocab words he uses. It's amazing how quickly a toddlers vocab expands. I will post a video of Bennett soon that really shows Bennett for who he is. He says his classic "talk about it mom" a couple of times which always makes me laugh. That's it for today.

BUNCO
ANNABELLE HAS LEARNED TO PEDAL!
Lots of post today...did not plan on it :). Darrin took the kids out this evening while I got ready for Bunco. Bennett ran in and yelled "Annabelle can pedal! Come look!" Here's a video for you all to see. I love when the kids learn to pedal. It's such a great step of independence.

HELP
Does anyone know how to put the link to where I got my background in a different place on my page? I don't like it covering the title of my post.
more about the ladybugs
Annie just opened my bedroom door and said, "yadybug mommy. pease get it mommy!" And now she's tugging at my sleeve and repeating over and over, "pit it up mommy"
for some reason ladybugs love to come into our house when it starts getting cold and she loves finding them.

Quotes...
First off, for those who've been reading my blog since the beginning, you'll know what I mean when I say...WISH ME LUCK THIS EVENING! I AM A BUNCO SUB TONIGHT :)! I'm going to bring my camera and will post pictures when I get home.
Here are the latest kid quotes that I remember.
Annabelle - upon seeing a ladybug on the dining room floor
"yadybug mommy...pit it up mommy (I pick it up)...have it mommy(I hand it to her)... (brief pause)...AWWWWW!

Here's to you Keith!
*quotes of the day*
Jenny suggested I try doing a "quote of the day" for each of the kids. She's been doing it a while now. I know I won't keep up as well as she does but I'm going to give it a try. It's always hard for me to remember at the end of the day the countless funny things they say :)
I have to preface this quote by Annabelle. She was standing on the porch watching my mom pack up her car. She cupped her hand behind her ear, gasped and said, "ta ta doodoodoo Dammy!! You hear it? " Translation "Cock-a-doodle doo Grammy!! You hear it?"
Last night Darrin was trying to get Regal to pick something up off the floor. Bennett in a voice that kind of said "Duh" said, "Dad, she can't pick things up because she doesn't have hands."
Bennett said something this morning that I thought about writing but I'm not sure how it even went. I said goodmorning, he said goodmorning back and told me the sun came and got him up and that he was a king and something about the moon. Not real sure about that one. It was almost like he was sleepwalking :).
So there you have it. I will try to keep up. Maybe I should do a quote of the day for Darrin and I. I'm making myself laugh right now just thinking of all the possibilities. Have a great day everyone and enjoy the weekend!!

We may have started something :)
If we've said it once, we've said it a thousand times...and we will probably say it a thousand more. We are so happy that Bennett and Annabelle are so close in age! They really take good care of eachother. This weekend we took Bennett's crib out of his room. We're pretty sure he never would have wanted to make the switch to a big boy bed if his crib stayed in his room. Last night Annie cried when I tried to put her in her crib. She told me she wanted to "seep in that bed with Mennett." He happily agreed! They got out once. We tried once more. We heard laughing and then silence. This is what we found when we checked on them. They slept through the night and both wished us good morning from the top of the stairs at the same time.
