just an update

Well, we have had a very busy couple of days. On Thursday we went to Nottawa Fruit Farm with playgroup and enjoyed a hayride, picking out a pumkin, walking through a sorgum "maze," and a few games. Jenny and the girls came too so we decided to take the kids to McDonalds for lunch. It was great because by the time we got home, it was nearly naptime :). Friday we went to the weekly story time at the library and then spent the rest of the day getting ready to head to the Hamilton/Holland Christian football game with Grandpa and Grandma Leutz. Saturday started off with a trip to the Grand Rapids Children's Museum with Grandpa and Grandma VandenBerg. It was so neat! The day ended with dinner and games at Chuck E. Cheese with Grandpa and Grandma DePree which of course was a lot of fun. On Sunday we headed for home and are thankful for a day with nothing to do. I have Carly on Friday this week and have today off instead which gives me more of an opportunity to get the house back in order.
On a different note, Colon barely made it into the football playoffs, but we did, and are playing Pittsford on Friday evening...Halloween...argh. Now I have to decide if I am going to take the kids trick-or-treating then head to the football game with Darrin or if I should just stay home with the kids for the evening and head to the elementary school for the annual costume contest and parade.
And again on another note. Darrin came home with 2 roses and a really nice card for me on Friday in appreciation to me for dealing with his sometimes 70 to 80hr a week job. So sweet especially if you know how practial we are about things. For example, for my 30th birthday I got a hair dryer because mine had been squeaking horribly for quite some time....and he didn't wrap it. I, for his birthday, told him that a pair of shoes he bought about a week before his birthday were his gift from me. So there you have it. It was so nice of him to think of me :) Did any of you watch Grey's Anatomy on Thursday? Well we did. I think he was paying attention :)!

Here are a few pictures from the various events mentioned in the post. ENJOY! this one of the 3 kids is added in just because it's cute

Wow! You really were busy. Looks like you had a lot of fun though. That was really sweet that you got roses. Matt and I are the same way. I ask for a vacuum even though others would be offended. I am very practical and would rather get something I need so I don't have to buy it myself!

My mom, Abby and I make all of the stuff that we sell. I teach preschool at home to Carter, Sadie, Brynn and then Abby's oldest Mason. So I have four kiddos and they love it. I set a preschool up downstairs and that way I get to do some teaching! We love it...bad you are not closer!

I wouldn't know what to do on friday either. Playoffs don't happen every year and Halloween does... but they are at such a fun age right now. Tough call! Good job Darrin on the flowers! :)
