Okay, you will learn more about these photos at the bottom of this post but this is Allison at 2 different preschool centers. In the top picture she had to flip a number flashcard and drop that many marbles into the pop container. In the bottom picture, her task was to hammer a golf tee into the playdough and then carefully place a marble on the top of each tee. Great for fine motor skills for the little ones. Allison was able to do centers this day due to a 2 hour fog delay which means no school for her and Annabelle.
The muffins are sideways :). But take a look at how fun they are. I am so fortunate to have such a neat group of moms to spend my time with during the day. We have the same goals for our children and enjoy the same simple things in life. We also each bring our own uniqueness to the group which adds a lot of fun! We got to talking one day about the packaged mini muffins and how expensive they are for how few you get in the package. But kids seem to love them. The next day Savannah bought all the ingredients to make four different muffins and made enough for the 4 of us to have 12-18 pkgs with 6 muffins in a package. How fun is that?! They have been Bennett's school snack every day since. The little things :)!
This girl is FUN! She was loving this hat the other day. The picture makes me want to squish her! Bennett calls her Beando or Deando. Fitting.
We're missing Eliza, Taylie, and Oliver in this picture. They were probably done eating at this point.
I'm thinking of organizing a preschool field trip to a nursing home in our area. I'm hoping to go on Valentine's day. I've been thinking lately about those in a home who no longer have family. Heartbreaking. Annabelle has a quiet, sweet way about her that I think will mesh well with older adults. She's so sweet with my grandma.
I volunteer in Bennett's class tomorrow. I go every Wednesday for about an hour in the morning. I really enjoy it. I appreciate having a little glimpse into what Bennett does each day. He's a man of few words when he gets home so I take any info I can get. I couldn't be happier with each of my children's teachers this year.
In case you don't know, I LOVE Pinterest. I have used many ideas/recipes/etc. that I have gotten from that site. I look for recipes, activities for preschool, homemade cleaning supplies, ideas for organization...all sorts of things. Dinner tomorrow is chicken lasagna roll ups which is a pinterest recipe.
So I talk about preschool a lot but maybe I should explain. Jenny and I started Preschool when Macey and Bennett were 2. It has changed and evolved since then. Currently we have 4 moms and 8 kids involved...and one on the way (Andrea is pregnant with her second child). I host on Tuesdays and Jenny hosts on Thursdays. Preschool starts at 10:30 and begins with table time...songs, books, counting, and anything that can be done as a group. When table time is done, we move on to centers. There are four centers set up and you stay at a center for about 4 minutes. Each child/mother will rotate through all the centers. Once centers are done, Annabelle and Allison's bus arrives and we enjoy lunch together. Everyone pitches in for lunch. The kids play a while before everyone goes home around 1:30. I really enjoy coming up with new, educational activities each week. Fun, fun!
Alright, I was feeling like I needed to jot this all down so I can look back and remember. It's crazy how quickly things can be forgotten. I feel like I'm already forgetting things about Bennett and Annabelle as babies and it breaks my heart.
