Eliza's 6th birthday!

On Eliza's 6th birthday (August 7), we went to the mall to get her ears pierced!  She did awesome!  We then went to Taco Bell for lunch and then McDonald's for an ice cream cone!  And when we got home, Mark and Carol surprised Eliza with a cart ride around the neighborhood!

Adelene loves shoes!!  All shoes.  But usually other people's shoes.  She loves slides and being outdoors in general.  She's a screamer.  Has been since infancy.  We had to leave a restaurant once when she was a baby because she wouldn't stop doing this loud and constant shriek just because she thought it was fun.  Now she screams when someone touches her, touches her food, helps her when she doesn't want help, doesn't help her when she does want help, etc.  The list could go on.  She has a great laugh and smile.  She's ticklish.  She says words but chooses when she wants to say them.  She likes cheese and broccoli a lot.   And she still adores her blanket(s) (as now we have a back up) but the original one with the frayed corner is still very important to her.  She must have it when she is ready for bed.

CallaMae is a dress girl. In her bedtime prayer the other night she said, "Thank you for dresses."  The dress in the middle picture was one of her winter favorites but now she has a new wardrobe of summer dresses in her drawer so we see that one a little less.  She can spell her name and write Calla on paper.  We think she could be left handed.  She often says, "I wish..." followed by a statement of something she wishes for and then repeats "wish" a couple more times. She calls rain/muck boots "muddle boots." In the morning for breakfast she usually likes milk with a splash of coffee creamer and dry "Toast McCrunch" or as we call it, Cinnamon Toast Crunch. She talks a lot.  Like in the car it's non stop.  She loves to give me a kiss on the cheek.  She likes makeup as you can see in the bottom picture.  She went a little crazy with a tube of chap stick.

And she loves the toothbrush drawer, stomps her feet quickly when she really wants something, loves to spin herself around, walks quickly with just one arm swinging, and can thrown a very thought out tantrum.  She loves to gives kisses and hugs and blows many kisses when everyone leaves for school in the morning. Adelene thinks its so cool to put her siblings way too big boots on and walk around the house. She still adores her blanket and sucks her two left fingers with the blanket corner touching her nose.  She also loves to dance.  She is just a whole lot of fun!
